In this role, you will be the technical voice in our sales process helping customers understand the value of Lytics products. You’ll partner with the customer to solve their problems, demonstrating the value of Lytics products with the Sales team. You will provide product feedback based on your interaction with customers to Engineering and Product. You will ensure the customer is successful as they interact with Lytics products and services. You will conduct webinars and speak at industry events, demonstrating Lytics products and help provide the technical expertise for Proof of Concepts and presentations.

Responsibilities

  • Win the trust of customers by demonstrating technical and business acumen and empathizing with their business challenges.

  • Own the technical sale by guiding prospects through the technical decision making process.

  • Master how to sell Lytics: from high-level introductory pitches through technical deep dives – and know how to gracefully maneuver back-and-forth.

  • Develop a strong understanding of the Lytics’ customer lifecycle journey, leveraging resources in Sales, Account Management, Technical Support & Services to ensure customer success.

  • Assist Sales Representatives with RFP responses.

  • Provide product demonstrations and customize demo environment to match customer’s use cases in order to maximize our success rate.

  • Actively participate in the business aspects of territory management, e.g., pipeline development, forecasts, quarterly business reviews, etc.

  • 2-5 Years experience in a Sales Engineering role, or direct experience with using Lytics’ products.

  • Excellent technical communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present to and engage our rapidly growing customer base.

  • JavaScript knowledge and experience.

  • Excellent problem-solving orientation and ability to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to technical and business problems.

  • Strong industry knowledge - performance management, scaled solutions, and methodologies.

  • Ability and willingness to travel 50% nationally & internationally, including but not limited to, operating a vehicle and/or riding as a passenger in a vehicle, airplane, train or other form of transportation.

  • Requires the ability to perform physical activities, including but not limited to, walking, standing, lifting items up to 35 lbs. and/or using, handling and controlling tools.

This person will take on full responsibility for all aspects of demand generation – defining, creating, executing and measuring integrated marketing campaigns using a variety of program types and channels. As a key member of the marketing senior staff you will also help shape and guide the overall marketing and go to market strategy for Lytics, and work closely with sales and sales leadership on the complete path to purchase experience.

You will research and determine the most appropriate means to generate awareness and interest among our target buyers: senior digital marketers at B2B and B2C brands. You will then craft and run campaigns across traditional, digital, social, major and regional events, account based marketing, and inbound channels.

You will work with marketing automation, sales force automation, customer data platform, and other demand generation tools to regularly monitor and measure program effectiveness, and report on this to the executive leadership team.

Partnering with the SDR and outside sales teams, you will ensure close alignment between sales and marketing to increase demand program effectiveness, and overall revenue attainment.

This role reports to the Chief Marketing Officer and is based in Portland, Or with some travel expected.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Demand generation strategy: define overall demand generation strategy, including funnel targets and budget.

  • Program execution: develop and execute high impact, creative campaigns to generate interest and lead to high quality sales opportunities.

  • Event execution: define the overall event strategy, and run all aspects of Lytics participation in major and local events.

  • Content: collaborate with product marketing and other internal stakeholders to build high quality campaign content.

  • Operations: Design and deploy a measureable marketing engine, including lead management automation,sales force automation (Salesforce.com) and Lytics’ Customer Data Platform.

  • Measurement: continually measure, analyze, and report on programs across a variety of metrics, including leads, opportunities, cost per lead, etc.

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of enterprise software demand generation experience.

  • Experience across breadth of demand generation mix: inbound, digital, social, events, account based marketing, etc.

  • Highly creative – ability to think outside the box to find new ways to generate interest and excitement among our target prospects.

  • A love of analytics and a proven track record of analyzing campaign performance and identifying actionable insights to increase new customer acquisition

  • Very strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Expert analytical and business modeling skills.

Qualifications

    • BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
    • 3+ years of technical client-facing experience.  Ideal candidates will have worked as a TAM or Solutions Consultant at a marketing technology company or as a developer at a marketing agency.
    • Understanding of relational databases and an ability to write SQL.
    • Familiarity with basic web development, web analytics, and web tag managers.
    • Understanding of Javascript, CSS, REST API's, web tracking is extremely helpful
